The House
of Emoria.
An archive of emotions preserved in wax. Named houses. Characters who carried something too large for words and put it into the archive instead.
I — The Archive
We do not perfume the air.
We catalogue it.
The archive is the long memory of the house. It holds what cannot be photographed — a coastline at dusk, a room someone has just left, a year that took too long to end — in the only form soft enough to keep all of it without breaking. Air.
Each artifact is a single fragrance drawn from a single character's world. Nothing is reissued. Nothing is reformulated. The archive grows only when a new character is ready to be kept.
The archive was never built to sell candles. The candle is the medium. The character is what stays.
II — The Characters
The characters.

N°001
Vex
AuraliaCustodian of Tides
“The sea took everything. I lit one candle anyway.”
Vex Auralia was born during a storm that ended the moment she took her first breath. She grew up feeling everything — every grief in a room, every fear behind a smile. When the sea took her father and his entire fleet, she finally felt something that belonged only to her. She climbed the highest cliff on the western coast, released everything she had ever carried, and the ocean answered. What emerged from that night became Midnight Tides — not a scent of loss, but of what survives it.

Marble
OrseiCartographer of Dreams
“I mapped every coastline except the one that leads back to him.”
Marble Orsei was born the night three hundred people across Verdara shared the exact same dream. She grew up visiting places no one else could reach — cities of glass mist, rivers of starlight, forests that existed only in sleep. When her brother vanished without a trace, she found him in a dream. Not as a memory. As a living person. From that night forward every map she drew was secretly the same map — another attempt to find the path back to him.

Selen
VaurEmpress of the Last Solstice
“They were already gone when I arrived. They had left the warmth on anyway.”
Selen Vaur was born during the coldest winter in Florienne's recorded history, the night the great ceremonial flame of House Vaur — burning for seven centuries without interruption — suddenly diminished. Then she took her first breath and it surged. Not brighter. Warmer. She spent her life traveling toward people in darkness, saving thousands during a supernatural winter that buried entire towns. But one village remained unreachable. By the time she arrived, everyone was gone. She has never stopped walking toward the ones she might still reach.

Nyx
CalantheDiplomat of the Abyss
“Something in the dark looked back. It understood loneliness.”
Nyx Calanthe was born the night the sea went completely silent. No waves. No wind. Even the seabirds stopped. As a child he wandered the cliffs alone, listening to something no one else could hear — ships lost decades earlier, family secrets buried for generations, old wounds disguised as politics. He became the only mediator in Emoria capable of resolving conflicts that had lasted centuries, not by arguing positions but by finding the grief underneath them. Every dispute he ever solved began with the same question — what is the real wound here?

Iyo
SennenThe Quiet Heir
“I inherited the silence. I learned to read what it was keeping.”
For exactly one hour before Iyo Sennen was born, all fragrance activity across the Sennen cathedrals ceased. No memory emissions. No archival echoes. Emoria itself went silent. When she took her first breath the silence dissolved — and a fragrance of white sage and lavender filled the halls. She grew up synchronizing with relic memories that overwhelmed everyone else, organizing chaos into clarity without force. When the oldest cathedral in House Sennen began collapsing — centuries of stored memory contradicting itself, entire recorded eras rewriting into chaos — she walked in alone and listened until history remembered what it was.

IV — The Cadence
We release slowly. We do not reissue.
Edition
Each artifact enters the archive when a character is ready to be kept. The archive closes an artifact when its time has passed. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is forced.
No Reissue
An artifact is never reissued. What was kept was kept once. To reissue is to falsify the record.
Ceremony
A new release is announced once, by quiet letter. Those on Correspondence are notified first. The rest of the world is welcome to follow.
V — Coda
The house was never built to sell candles. It was built to keep what cannot be photographed.
